HANOI, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam exported nearly 1.7 million tonnes of coffee worth more than 6 billion U.S. dollars in the first eight months of 2026, local media VnEconomy reported Friday, citing the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association.
During the period, coffee export volume rose more than 10 percent year on year, while export value fell 11.2 percent due to lower average export prices.
Germany, Italy and Japan were the three largest markets, accounting for 13.2 percent, 8.2 percent and 7.1 percent of total exports, respectively, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
The association expects Vietnam's coffee export volume to increase up to 10 percent in 2026, supported by supplies from the new crop starting in November. ■
