YANGON, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- Security forces detected six FPV suicide drones targeting Mandalay's Tada-U International Airport and surrounding areas through air defence monitoring systems and intercepted them using counter-drone measures on Thursday, the state-owned Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) reported.
Security personnel disposed of explosives carried by the drones, and the interception resulted in the temporary suspension of some domestic flights, the report said Thursday.
No injuries were reported, and no damage was caused to aircraft or airport runways, according to the report. ■
