KABUL, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Afghan police have destroyed two heroin-processing laboratories and seized more than 320 kg of illicit narcotics across several provinces, the Ministry of Interior Affairs announced on Thursday.
During coordinated operations on the outskirts of Uruzgan and Farah provinces, security personnel dismantled the illicit facilities, uncovering raw materials and precursor chemicals used in producing heroin, said the ministry.
In parallel operations, police seized 327 kg of narcotics in Takhar, Zabul, and Nangarhar provinces. Nine individuals suspected of involvement in the trafficking and sale of the drugs were arrested. ■
