HANOI, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Two 15-year-old students were killed in a collision between a passenger bus and a motorcycle on a national highway in northern Vietnam's Phu Tho province late Wednesday, local daily Voice of Vietnam reported Thursday.
The accident occurred at around 10:40 p.m. in Mai Chau commune when the motorcycle carrying the two students collided with the passenger bus traveling in the opposite direction, leaving both students dead at the scene, the report said.
Initial reports showed that the bus encroached on the opposite lane while overtaking another vehicle and collided with the oncoming motorcycle, according to the report.
Local authorities are investigating the accident. ■
