ISLAMABAD, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan received 3.656 billion U.S. dollars of remittances in August, up 16.5 percent year on year, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said Wednesday.
The remittances increased 0.7 percent from July, according to the SBP.
Saudi Arabia remained the largest source of remittances, with overseas Pakistanis sending 873.5 million dollars in August, followed by the United Arab Emirates with 749.8 million dollars. ■
