KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia will strengthen its trade presence in China through the participation of 67 Malaysian companies at the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) 2026, as it eyes growing trade opportunities and expanded market access, the country's external trade agency said on Wednesday.
Malaysian exhibitors will showcase products and services across key sectors, including artificial intelligence, medical devices, household products, food and beverages, agricultural produce, personal care and cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and tourism, the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) said in a statement.
"The participation provides Malaysian companies with opportunities to connect with buyers, distributors, and business partners, while strengthening their visibility and competitiveness in the China and ASEAN markets," it said.
"China has remained Malaysia's largest single trading partner for 17 consecutive years since 2009, emphasizing the strategic importance of the market to Malaysia's trade and export growth," it said.
"This performance highlights sustained regional demand for Malaysian-made goods and services," it said. ■
