HANOI, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- A 19-year-old passenger was killed after a sleeper bus caught fire on an expressway in Vietnam's central province of Khanh Hoa late Monday, local media VnExpress reported Tuesday.
The bus, carrying 24 passengers and heading toward Ho Chi Minh City, was engulfed in flames in Phuoc Hau commune at around 11:45 p.m., the report said.
Local authorities brought the blaze under control after more than 20 minutes, but the victim died and the bus was burned to its frame.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, the report added. ■
