ULAN BATOR, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia's Ministry of Environment and Climate Change on Tuesday issued a warning about brown bears amid concerns over potential threats to human safety.
The warning came after multiple brown bear sightings were reported near residential areas in several provinces in recent days.
According to experts, bear attacks on livestock have increased in recent years due to climate change, food shortages in their natural habitats, the overexploitation of natural resources, and forest fires.
The ministry urged the public to take precautions to protect themselves and their livestock from potential brown bear attacks. ■
