KABUL, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- Four miners lost their lives due to inhaling poisonous gas inside a tunnel of a coal mine in northern Afghanistan's Baghlan province on Sunday, the company confirmed on Monday.
The ill-fated miners were trapped inside the tunnel and lost their lives, the statement added.
Lack of modern technology in extracting mines, shortage of skilled workers, illegal extraction and absence of safety measures often claim the lives of miners in the post-war country. ■
