KABUL, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- A three-day exhibition spotlighting agricultural products, traditional artisanal crafts, and domestically manufactured goods opened on Sunday in central Afghanistan's Bamiyan province, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced.
The fair, housing 100 exhibition booths operated by farmers, livestock breeders, and local entrepreneurs, is designed to invigorate domestic production, stimulate national industry growth, attract foreign and local investment, and highlight the country's productive capabilities in its pursuit of greater economic self-sufficiency, the ministry's statement said.
Organizers touted the event as an indispensable platform for homegrown producers to showcase their offerings while simultaneously fostering a culture of domestic consumption.
The initiative forms part of a wider government strategy that has seen similar exhibitions staged across multiple provinces, aimed at reinforcing the agricultural sector, championing homegrown products and enhancing the country's overall economic resilience. ■
