SYDNEY, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- Four men have been hospitalized after they were stabbed in two separate incidents in west and southwest Sydney on Sunday night.
A police statement said that emergency services were deployed to reports that a man had been found with stab wounds in the suburb of Bidwill, 40 km west of central Sydney, around 8:10 p.m. on Sunday.
The victim, a 38-year-old man, was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Hours later, police said three men aged 24, 23 and 18 attended a southwest Sydney hospital with knife wounds at different times after midnight.
All three were transported to trauma hospitals, with the two older men in serious but stable condition and the 18-year-old in stable condition.
Police were informed that the men were involved in an altercation outside a fast food outlet.
Crime scenes were established at the locations of both stabbings and police have urged anyone with information about either incident to contact investigators. ■
