HANOI, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- An excavator-carrying truck overturned on a slope in Vietnam's central province of Nghe An on Saturday morning, killing two people and seriously injuring three others, local media VnExpress reported.
The truck overturned while descending Chuoi slope in Muong Quang commune at around 9 a.m. and crushed a motorcycle carrying a man and his wife, who were riding ahead in the same direction, killing both at the scene.
The accident also struck another couple riding a motorcycle behind and left them and the truck driver seriously injured, with all three taken to hospital for emergency treatment.
The crash severely damaged the truck and one motorcycle, and the cause of the accident is being investigated. ■
