KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia's natural gas production rose 19.1 percent year on year to 763.5 billion cubic feet in the second quarter of 2026, rebounding from a 2.1 percent contraction in the previous quarter, according to official data on Thursday.
The increase was also reflected in the monthly performance during the quarter, with growth in June accelerating compared with April and May, the Department of Statistics Malaysia said in a statement.
Meanwhile, crude oil and condensate production fell 5.6 percent year on year to 42.7 million barrels in the second quarter.
Crude oil accounted for 67 percent of total crude oil and condensate production in the second quarter, while condensate made up the remaining 33 percent. ■
