HANOI, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's state budget revenue rose 16 percent year on year to an estimated 2.024 quadrillion Vietnamese dong (about 79 billion U.S. dollars) in the first eight months of 2026, the Vietnam News Agency reported Wednesday.
The figure was equivalent to 80 percent of the annual estimate, the report said, citing the Ministry of Finance.
Domestic revenue, which remained the main contributor, was estimated at nearly 1.753 quadrillion dong (about 68.45 billion dollars), up 16.6 percent year on year, according to the report.
Revenue from import-export activities reached 223.9 trillion dong (about 8.74 billion dollars) during the period, an increase of 7.9 percent from a year earlier, the report added.
The ministry said it will continue efforts through the end of the year to ensure full and proper revenue collection while facilitating production and business activities to create sustainable sources of state budget revenue. ■
