KABUL, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- One traveler was killed and seven others were injured after a head-on collision in Jawzjan province, north of Afghanistan, said a statement of the provincial police office on Tuesday.
The accident happened when a car collided with another one coming from the opposite direction on Monday evening, according to the statement.
Blaming reckless driving for the deadly accident, the statement added that the driver of a car died at the scene and seven commuters sustained injuries, some in critical condition. The injured were taken to a nearby health center. ■
