DHAKA, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh's internet user base reached nearly 136 million at the end of June, up by 6.27 million new users in the first half of the year, according to data released by the country's telecom regulator on Monday.
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) data stated that the number of internet subscribers in the country in June reached 135.94 million, which accounts for over three-quarters of the country's population.
Of the total subscribers, the BTRC data showed, some 120.84 million are mobile internet users and 15.10 million broadband internet users. ■
