YANGON, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed and three others injured after a passenger car crashed into a concrete barrier on Myanmar's Yangon-Mandalay highway, the highway traffic police force said Thursday.
The accident occurred at around 2:50 p.m. local time on Wednesday near milepost 267, when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash into a concrete barrier and overturn, the police force said.
The vehicle, carrying two men and five women, was traveling from Nay Pyi Taw to Mandalay when the accident occurred, it said.
The driver and three female passengers died at the scene, while the other three passengers were injured and taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, it added. ■
