HANOI, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Torrential rains related to Typhoon Narra have left two people dead and three others injured in northern Vietnam, the Vietnam Disaster and Dyke Management Authority said Wednesday.
The two deaths were reported in Lang Son province, while the three injuries were reported in the capital Hanoi, Son La province and Quang Ninh province, respectively.
The typhoon and heavy rains also completely destroyed two houses and damaged 1,075 others in northern and central Vietnam, with Lang Son reporting the most severe damage.
Another 3,746 houses were inundated, while 2,823 households remained isolated due to flooded roads.
The typhoon also killed 210 head of livestock and 7,448 poultry, the report said. ■
