SINGAPORE, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's manufacturing output rose 6.8 percent year-on-year in July, slowing from a 7.5-percent increase in June, the Singapore Economic Development Board said on Wednesday.
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, manufacturing output increased 2.3 percent in July, reversing a 7-percent decline in June.
All manufacturing clusters recorded year-on-year output growth in July except biomedical manufacturing and chemicals, which fell 5.3 percent and 10.6 percent, respectively.
Precision engineering led growth, rising 17.7 percent, followed by electronics, transport engineering and general manufacturing, which increased 11.2 percent, 10.8 percent and 4.9 percent, respectively. ■
