MANILA, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Police in the central Philippines have seized more than 165.5 million pesos (about 2.7 million U.S. dollars) worth of illegal drugs in 415 operations over the past three months, authorities said Monday.
According to the Western Visayas regional police office, they confiscated 24.2 kg of illegal drugs during operations from May 22 to Aug. 22.
The operations also led to the arrest of 508 suspected drug personalities, including 175 classified as high-value individuals, according to the police. ■
