KATHMANDU, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and 10 others injured after a pickup van was involved in an accident in central Nepal's Syangja district on Monday evening, police said.
The accident occurred at about 5:45 p.m. local time when the vehicle lost control while climbing a slope, according to the district police office.
"The two victims died on the spot, while the injured, including the driver, were taken to a local hospital for treatment," Ramesh Dutta Awasthi, spokesperson for the district police, told Xinhua.
Police said the exact number of passengers traveling in the vehicle was not immediately known. ■
