ISLAMABAD, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and around 36 others injured when a passenger coach met with an accident while overtaking a trailer on the Karachi-Hyderabad Link Road in Pakistan's southern Sindh province on Friday, rescue officials said.
The coach was heading towards Kandhkot district when the accident occurred, according to Rescue 1122 Sindh.
Rescue teams, along with a recovery vehicle and an ambulance, were dispatched to the site after receiving the emergency call, the officials said.
The bodies of the two deceased were recovered and shifted to Jinnah Hospital in Karachi.
Around 36 people sustained minor injuries and were provided medical assistance, according to the rescue service. ■
