BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- The People Arts Festival, currently being held in Brunei's capital Bandar Seri Begawan, showcases the country's growing creative economy, official media reported on Saturday.
The festival, which runs from Friday to Sunday, aims to support local businesses, highlight local talent and create meaningful experiences for visitors of all ages, according to Pelita Brunei, Brunei's official government newspaper.
Noor Hanani Harpan, general manager of B-jaur Events, a local event organizer and lifestyle platform in Brunei, said the festival marks the beginning of a celebration bringing together creativity, culture, community, lifestyle, food, coffee, art and local entrepreneurship in one area.
The general manager said this year's festival also features participation from neighboring Malaysia, highlighting cultural, creative and community exchanges between the two countries. ■
