BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- Hengyi Industries Sdn. Bhd. held its second Academic Excellence Award ceremony, recognizing the outstanding academic achievements of 15 Bruneian students, local media reported on Friday.
According to Pelita Brunei, the initiative aims to encourage students to strive for academic excellence while inspiring them to explore future career opportunities in the petrochemical industry.
Established in May 2025, the Hengyi Industries Academic Excellence Award is part of Hengyi Future-Ready, a key pillar of the company's corporate social responsibility program.
The award also reflects Hengyi's vision of "excellence in developing petrochemicals through pursuing innovation and business sustainability."
Through developing the next generation of local talent, Hengyi aims to build a skilled professional workforce capable of contributing innovative ideas and technical expertise to further strengthen Brunei's petrochemical industry. ■
