MANILA, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- Tropical Storm Saudel is expected to enhance rainfall in the Philippines starting on Monday through the middle of next week, local media reported on Thursday.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Saudel may develop into a typhoon over the Pacific Ocean this weekend, said local news site Inquirer.net.
PAGASA weather specialist Leanne Loreto said Saudel will enhance the monsoon, with rainfall forecast across large parts of Luzon and the Visayas from Monday onward. ■
