BEIJING, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted Kuril Islands at 1807 GMT on Wednesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 49.73 degrees north latitude and 155.66 degrees east longitude. ■
