KABUL, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Afghan power company, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), has launched the construction of five electricity grid development projects in eastern Khost province on Tuesday.
At the inauguration ceremony, DABS Chief Executive Officer Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar said the utility was pursuing a balanced and nationwide approach to the expansion of electricity infrastructure, with development projects being implemented across different parts of the country, the company said in a statement.
The projects in the province are expected to contribute to the expansion and improvement of the province's electricity network and support growing demand for reliable power, it added. ■
