KABUL, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- More than 70 agreements worth over 200 million U.S. dollars were signed at Afghanistan's first international agriculture and livestock exhibition, which concluded in Kabul on Sunday, the official Bakhtar News Agency reported Monday.
According to the report, the agreements are expected to help expand trade and investment in Afghanistan's agriculture and livestock sectors.
More than 100 domestic and foreign companies participated in the exhibition, which had been organized to promote markets for agricultural and livestock products and encourage investment in the agriculture and livestock sectors, the report said.
The exhibition provided a platform for domestic and international companies to explore business opportunities and strengthen cooperation in the sectors, it added. ■
