HONG KONG, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 jolted Northern Sumatra, Indonesia, at 1054 GMT on Saturday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 163.5 km, was initially determined to be at 2.96 degrees north latitude and 99.03 degrees east longitude. ■
