JAKARTA, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 jolted the Flores Region in Indonesia early Saturday, the country's Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) said.
The epicenter was located off the north coast of Flores Island at a shallow depth of 15 kilometers, the agency said.
A tsunami warning was issued for coastal areas following the quake, it added. ■
