NEW DELHI, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed on Friday after inhaling toxic gas inside a well in the eastern Indian state of Bihar, police said.
The incident took place at Garh Karmauni village in Gaya Ji district, about 125 km south of Patna, the capital city of Bihar.
The victims had descended into the well to repair a motor, a police official said, adding that the bodies have been pulled out from the well and sent for post-mortem.
Police have registered a case and ordered an investigation into the incident. ■
