JAKARTA, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday launched the national electric motorcycle program, known as Molinas, calling it a prime example of the "Indonesia Incorporated" concept.
The program was launched at a production facility in Cikarang, West Java, where Prabowo emphasized the importance of uniting domestic forces to build national technological strength.
"Today, in my opinion, is one good example of what I call Indonesia Incorporated," Prabowo said, adding that a nation's success in the modern era is determined by its ability to master technology and use technology to support national development.
The Molinas program goes beyond launching a single vehicle model. It aims to build a national ecosystem covering industrial and manufacturing development, components and batteries, charging and battery-swapping infrastructure, financing, distribution, after-sales services, and stronger market absorption, said Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi. ■
