NEW DELHI, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- At least two people were killed and several others injured or trapped when a landslide occurred in India's financial capital Mumbai on Wednesday, a local official confirmed.
The landslide occurred in the early hours of the day in Mumbai's Ghatkopar area.
"A large portion of a hillside fell on around six shanties. Two dead bodies have been recovered, and those injured were shifted to a local hospital. Rescue work is still on to find if any other person is trapped under the debris," said the official. ■
