JAKARTA, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- A fire broke out at a frame factory in East Jakarta early Wednesday, with 25 fire trucks deployed to tackle the blaze, local media reported.
Muchtar Zakaria, head of the local fire authority, said on Wednesday that firefighters had contained the blaze. At the same time, cooling operations were still underway as some hot spots were buried under collapsed debris.
The fire damaged the factory building, machinery, some vehicles and also spread to a neighboring house.
No deaths or injuries were reported, while residents of the affected house were evacuated. The cause of the fire remained under investigation. ■
