KABUL, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- A pharmaceutical factory with an investment of 15 million U.S. dollars has been inaugurated in the industrial park of Herat Province in western Afghanistan, the local media TOLOnews reported on Monday.
According to the report, the factory is expected to further strengthen Afghanistan's domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing sector and increase the production capacity of locally made medicines.
The facility is the 19th pharmaceutical manufacturing factory operating in the province's industrial park, the report said.
The development also reflects growing investment in Herat's industrial sector, where a number of factories are engaged in manufacturing and processing activities. ■
