KABUL, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and two others injured after a fuel tanker collided with a passenger car on the Kabul-Mazar-i-Sharif highway in northern Afghanistan's Balkh province on Thursday evening, the provincial government office said.
The victims were transferred to nearby medical facilities, where the injured are receiving treatment, according to the office.
Preliminary findings indicate that driver negligence caused the crash. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. ■
