BEIJING, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted off east coast of Honshu, Japan at 1743 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 39.58 degrees north latitude and 143.60 degrees east longitude. ■
