YANGON, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's Yangon Port received 402 container vessels in the first seven months of 2026, The Global New Light of Myanmar reported on Thursday, citing the Myanma Port Authority.
The port handled 55 container vessels in July, with the highest monthly figures of 63 and 60 recorded in January and February this year, respectively, the report said.
Yangon Port handled 728 container vessels in 2025, up from 633 in 2024 and 629 in 2023, according to the report.
As one of Myanmar's major international ports, Yangon Port handles more than 90 percent of the country's regular exports and imports. The port comprises the Yangon Inner Harbour and the Thilawa Outer Harbour, with a total of 48 berths. ■
