SYDNEY, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- A teenager has been arrested over a stabbing at a shopping center north of Sydney that left the victim in a critical condition.
A police statement on Tuesday said that emergency services were called to the shopping center 80 km north of Sydney around 3:45 p.m. on Monday and arrived to find an 18-year-old man with a stab wound.
He was treated by ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.
Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident. A knife was subsequently seized from a nearby property before a 15-year-old boy was arrested on Monday night.
He was taken to a local police station and charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. ■
