BANGKOK, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's stock investor confidence improved in July, mainly supported by fund inflows, the government's economic stimulus packages, and corporate earnings, a survey showed on Tuesday.

The investor confidence index, which predicts market conditions over the next three months, stood at 146.72 last month, up from 123.77 in the June survey and remaining in the "bullish" zone, according to the Federation of Thai Capital Market Organizations (FETCO).

Investor morale picked up across most categories, with retail investors up 11.9 percent, proprietary investors up 25 percent, and foreign investors up 25 percent, while institutional investors were down 1.8 percent, the FETCO said in a statement.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand index maintained a positive trajectory for much of July before facing selling pressure as the month drew to a close, said FETCO chairman Paiboon Nalinthrangkurn.

Paiboon said foreign fund inflows helped boost sentiment, which was anchored by growing confidence among foreign investors in Thailand's economic outlook, driven by expectations of political stability, policy continuity, and a recovery in exports.

Looking ahead, he noted that domestic factors warranting attention were the trajectory of the Thai economic recovery after the Ministry of Finance raised its 2026 GDP growth forecast to 2.5 percent, buoyed by exports and investment.
