SYDNEY, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Two men have been hospitalized with serious injuries after a building collapsed in inner-Sydney on Monday morning.
Emergency services were deployed to the inner-city suburb of Ultimo at around 11 a.m. on Monday following reports that the roof of a building had caved in, causing a wall to collapse onto vehicles parked at an adjacent service station.
Seven people were assessed at the scene by ambulance paramedics and two men, aged in their 30s and 60s respectively, were taken to hospital in serious conditions.
Peter Murray from the fire and rescue service told reporters that the collapsed building was part of a construction site.
Police and workplace safety regulators have commenced investigations into the incident. ■
