HANOI, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam welcomed nearly 13.9 million international visitors in the first seven months of 2026, up 13.8 percent year on year, the National Statistics Office reported Monday.
Of the total, 11.5 million visitors arrived by air, up 10.7 percent from the same period last year, the report said.
Arrivals by road reached 2.2 million, rising 33.6 percent year on year, while arrivals by sea totaled 210,900, up 14.7 percent.
Asia remained the largest source market, contributing nearly 10.3 million arrivals during the period, followed by Europe with more than 2.3 million visitors, according to the report.
Vietnam targets 25 million international arrivals in 2026, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. ■
