HANOI, July 31 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam on Friday launched a competition to select a logo and visual identity for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting in 2027.
The contest, jointly held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is open to Vietnamese and foreign individuals legally working in Vietnam, with no limit on the number of entries.
Entries should reflect the spirit of APEC cooperation, connectivity and prosperity while showcasing Vietnam's cultural identity, innovation and dynamism, with the logo required to feature the wording "APEC VIETNAM 2027" and exclude the national emblem, flag and map.
They should be submitted to the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition by August 25.
Vietnam joined APEC in 1998 and twice hosted APEC Economic Leaders' Meetings in 2006 and 2017. ■
