MANILA, July 31 (Xinhua) -- A 13-year-old student was stabbed to death by a 14-year-old schoolmate inside a public school in Metro Manila on Friday, according to local media reports.
Police said the two students had an altercation during recess before the suspect allegedly drew a bladed weapon and stabbed the victim in the chest. The victim had been taken to a hospital but was later pronounced dead.
Authorities said the motive remains under investigation and that they are preparing to file a criminal complaint against the suspect. ■
