KABUL, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Afghan and Uzbek businesses signed 25 cooperation agreements worth 50 million U.S. dollars during an Afghanistan-Uzbekistan business connectivity meeting held in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif, local media reported on Wednesday.
The agreements were signed by traders and companies from the two neighboring countries during the event, which was aimed at promoting bilateral trade, investment and economic cooperation.
The newly signed deals are expected to strengthen commercial partnerships, facilitate cross-border investment, and further expand economic ties between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
Officials said the business forum provided a platform for entrepreneurs from both countries to explore new opportunities for cooperation and enhance regional trade. ■
