ISLAMABAD, July 24 (Xinhua) -- Two soldiers were killed and another was seriously injured in a quadcopter attack carried out by militants on a military post in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday, security sources said.
The attack took place at about 7:30 a.m. local time in Kurram district, where militants used a quadcopter to target a Pakistan Army post, the sources told Xinhua.
The two soldiers died right at the spot while the injured soldier was shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment, the sources said.
Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to track down those responsible for the attack.
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident. ■
