JAKARTA, July 23 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia invites Chinese enterprises to scale up investment in high-value-added industries, Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said Thursday.
"Indonesia is open to cooperating with global partners, including China, in trade, investment, services and education. I invite companies from China to continue investing in Indonesia, especially in sectors with high added value," said Airlangga, while receiving a Chinese business delegation in Jakarta.
Airlangga said the government continued to encourage investment by Chinese automotive companies following the strong market performance of many Chinese brands.
Beyond manufacturing, he said, Indonesia also welcomed investment in the digital economy, including semiconductors, fiber-optic networks, digital applications and data center infrastructure. ■
