JAKARTA, July 21 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian government will issue 1 billion U.S. dollars of renminbi-denominated sovereign bonds, known as panda bonds, on Thursday, the country's Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said Tuesday.
"If necessary, we can return to the market a few months later with a larger issuance," he said at a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday.
In recent years, the panda bond market has seen steady gains, becoming increasingly attractive to issuers. ■
