ISLAMABAD, July 21 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday launched the Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Prime Minister Office System (PMOS), describing it as a transformative digital platform aimed at modernizing governance.

Speaking at the launch ceremony at the Prime Minister's Office, Sharif directed all ministries and relevant authorities to adopt the AI-powered platform, saying it would replace traditional paper-based procedures with digital workflows to improve efficiency and service delivery.

He said that the system would improve governance by digitally recording, tracking and monitoring the implementation of all directives issued from the prime minister's office.

The PMOS is Pakistan's first government platform to integrate artificial intelligence as a core component of decision-making and implementation monitoring, supporting governance reforms and the broader digital transformation of the center.

The system is designed to securely communicate, record and track government directives from issuance through execution, verified completion and post-completion monitoring.
