YANGON, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities have seized over 2.34 million stimulant tablets and 8.14 kg of heroin in central Myanmar's Mandalay region, the state-owned daily Myanma Alinn reported on Wednesday.
Acting on a tip-off, anti-narcotics police raided a suspect's house in Yamethin township of Mandalay region on July 6 and confiscated the stimulant tablets, the report said.
According to the investigation, two additional suspects involved in the drug trafficking were arrested on July 7, it said.
In a separate operation on the same day, two more suspects were arrested with 8.14 kg of heroin in Pyawbwe town in Mandalay region, it added.
The suspects have been charged under anti-drug laws, the report said. ■
